Leica GNSS technology (GPS and GLONASS)
Add additional GLONASS satellites to the world's best-performing GPS reference station systems.
Track all available GNSS signals now.
An upgrade to GPS L5 and Galileo will be readily available as these systems become operational.
Leica Geosystems GPS solutions proven reliability rises to the next level with full GNSS support to deliver unmatched results with SmartTrack+ and SmartCheck+.
Leica SmartRTK: Always in focus
Users of GNSS Reference Station Networks expect their results to be consistent throughout the complete Network,
but often they're unaware that virtually computed Reference Stations compromise consistency.
Only with Leica Geosystems ingenious SmartRTK can you be sure that you're getting the best performance of your complete GNSS system.
Even the new RTCM 3.1 International standard now includes correction data designed by Leica Geosystems to ensure that the results are consistent and traceable anywhere in the network.
And the new atmospheric decorrelator technology provides precise positioning in all Networks regardless of the correction data.

SmartTrack GPS technology
GPS1200's SmartTrack measurement engine acquires all visible satellites within seconds, tracks to low elevations,
and measures under trees and in areas of interference where other receivers often fail.
Strong signals, highly effective multipath mitigation and advanced anti-jamming guarantee top GPS performance.
A further advantage is that GPS1200 receivers with SmartTrack technology are designed so that they can be upgraded to support future GPS satellite signal developments.
Your investment is secure.

Exceptionally rugged
Don't worry about how your crews handle GPS1200. It's built to MIL specs to withstand the roughest use.
With its strong, precision-machined magnesium housing, GPS1200 stands up to drops and falls and the jolts and vibrations of machines.
Even the RTK pole equipment survives falls.
Designed for temperatures from -40°C to +65°C (storage +80°C), GPS1200 shrugs off arctic cold and blistering heat.
Fully waterproof - withstands immersion to 1m - sand and dustproof, it operates perfectly in any conditions from tropical rainfall (up to 100% humidity) to desert sandstorms.
GPS1200 just keeps on working.

User programmable
Although GPS1200 has routines and programs that satisfy the needs of the majority of users, there will always be customers with special requirements for special applications.
The solution is easy: simply write your own programs in GeoC++ or contact a Leica Software Center, upload the programs to the receiver and use GPS1200 in the way you want.
With user programming, GPS1200 can be customized to operate, compute and output information in exactly the way required.
The following are just some of the applications for which programming can be extremely useful:
- Unusual alignments
- Monitoring construction
- Dividing land
- Computing volumes
- Machine guidance
- Special transformations
- Generating special reports
GPS1200 is totally transparent. Program it and use it in the way that suits you best.

Hidden points
With a LEICA DISTO™ or LEICA Vector or any other suitable handheld laser rangefinder connected to GPS1200,
you can measure distances to or from objects at which it is impossible to position the antenna or acquire sufficient satellites.
Using onboard COGO routines, GPS1200 computes and records the point coordinates instantly.
When carrying out detail, title or utility surveys in built up or wooded areas, there will always be points and objects,
such as building corners, trees and boundary markers, which cannot be surveyed directly with GPS.
The best solution is to use the DISTO, Leica's inexpensive handheld miniature rangefinder.
With the latest generation LEICA DISTO plus, you can even benefit from connectivity to GPS via Bluetooth™ wireless technology.

ASCII input
For certain applications, it is useful to link measurements, data and information from other equipment to the GPS data.
GPS1200 accepts and records data and information in the form of ASCII strings from any connected device.
Bar code readers, echo sounders, Geiger counters, aerial cameras, tilt sensors, meteorological sensors etc. can be connected easily to GPS1200.
